How to Burn Your Holiday Candles

On the first burn, let the wax melt all the way to the edge of the jar, roughly one hour for every inch of the jar's width. Trim the wicks to 1/4 inch before each burn, and stop when about 1/2 inch of wax is left. Keep candles away from drafts, tree branches and wrapping paper, and never leave a lit candle unattended.
